LNCC stands for Legal Nurse Consultant Certification. This exam is held for the nursing & medical-legal field. They can perform chart reviews and work in the quality assurance for health care organizations. It can consult with doctors, attorneys, and clients on medical issues.
Eligibility
- This exam must be a licensed registered nurse
- Must have 5 years employment
- Must have 2000 hours of functioning experience as a legal nurse for a period of 3 years.
Exam Pattern
The exam will be 200 multiple choice type (MCQ) with 4 hours durations. The questions will be from following:
Law as personal injury, medical malpractice or negligence, and risk management.
Important detail
The exam is held twice in a year, once during the spring and then in fall. It is held 47 sites around USA. Fee for American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board members is $275 and that for non-members is $375.
