OCN stands for Oncology Certified Nurse. It conducts an exam for the admission in practicing nurses named as Certified Oncology Nurse. There are 4 certified exam for this course as: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Pediatrics Oncology Nurse (CPON), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) and Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS).
Eligibility
- Must be a licensed registered Nurse
- Must have 1 year experience in the last 3 years.
- An experience of 1000 hours in Oncology Nursing in the last 2 and half years
Examination Pattern:
The exam is held of 165 Multiple Choice Type questions (MCQ). There are 20 are meant to be protesting questions in 165.
Fees:
$260 is the fee for Oncology Nursing Society and the Association of Pediatric Oncology. For non-members applicants its fee is $380. Oncology Certified Nurse certificate is issued which is valid for three years.
