IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is conducted by British Council. It provides admission or work in a country where the language of communication is English like UK, Australia etc. it held 4 times in a month and the dates are decided by the British council.

 

How to Apply:

 

For applying with the help of the credit card, the apply is done online. Application form can be downloading from the website or can collect form the nearest British Council or British Library office. Submit filled application form to the British council by paying credit card.

 

Selection process:

 

Selection is done on the basis of test of 4 sections. The levels are numbered from 1 to 9 with 1 being the lowest rated and 9 being the highest rated.

 

Fee:

 

IELTS- Rs.7200/-

 

Examination pattern:

1. Listening test:

 

It is a 4 sections test and 40 items are to be answered in 30 mins

2. Speaking test:

 

Duration is 11-14 mins for spoken English

3. Writing test:

 

a)  General Training Section: 2 tasks to be answered in 60 Mins.

b)  Academic Section: 2 Tasks to be answered in 60 Mins.

There will be a choice between the (a) and (b).

 

4. Reading test:

 

a) General Training Section: 3 Sections & 40 items should be answered in 60 Mins.

b) Academic Section: 3 Sections & 40 items should be answered 60 Mins.
