Punjab Admission to MCA Common Aptitude Test is well known as PAM CAT. It is conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala on behalf of the Punjab government. It offers the admission to MBA and MCA programs in the areas of Punjab. The admission is happened in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and Punjabi University, Patiala.

 

Eligibility

 

  1. For MBA: Must have bachelor degree from a recognized university.
  2. For MCA: 3 years of bachelor degree with mathematics as compulsory subject in the class 12th standard.

 

Important dates:

 

1. Last date for submission of application forms: Last week of June-first week of July

2. Entrance exam and the timings will be from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.: Mid July

3. Declaration of result: 4th week of July

4. First counseling: 4th week of July

 

How to Apply:

Certificate attached with the application form are:

 

1. 10th certificate

2. 10+2 Detailed Marks Certificate

3. Qualifying Examination Certificate.

4. Reserve Category Certificate, if any.

5. Residence Certificate.

 

Examination pattern:

 

Exam will be of 2 parts. The 1st part is of common to both MBA and MCA. The 2nd part is of specific questions for MBA and MCA separately.

The 1st paper is of 150 MCQs in first paper. 2nd paper is of 50 MCQ.

 

Paper -1 Common for both MBA and MCA:

 

Paper I — Mental and Numerical Ability – 50 MCQs – 50 marks

Paper II — General Knowledge – 50 MCQs – 50 marks

Paper III — General English – 50 MCQs – 50 marks

 

Paper-2 for MBA candidates only:

 

Business Aptitude — 50 MCQs – 50 marks

 

Paper-3 for MCA candidates only:

Mathematics – 50 MCQs – 50 marks

OR

Computer Science – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
